The Secret Entrance to the Sphinx Burial Chamber

This video continues on from where my last one ended when I claimed it is highly likely that Pliny the Elder is correct in his assertion The Great Sphinx was transformed into the Tomb of King Amasis II in the 26th Dynasty of Egyptian History.

Of course, I have to say that I don’t think the original purpose of The Sphinx was to be a tomb, but that I merely think that part of the Phase II Restoration work of The Sphinx in the 26th Dynasty was to turn The Sphinx into a tomb for their greatest pharaoh - King Amasis II.

And before anybody says that this is all mere speculation, there are several eyewitness accounts of both the vertical shaft that leads to the chamber, as well as the chamber itself. A number of people have entered it and wrote about it, and for many early chroniclers, it was a main focal point and feature in descriptions of the enigmatic monument.

The vertical shaft that leads to the burial chamber was located where there was a large fissure in the back of The Sphinx, and today, the mainstream tells us that the shaft and the fissure were filled up with concrete. But this isn't true. It looks as though Emile Baraize preserved the entrance to the burial chamber in the 1920s. Watch the video now to learn more.
