The Painkiller

The Painkiller is a drink with a clearly defined history. It was invented in the 70's at the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost van Dyke, a so-called Sailor's Paradise in the British Virgin Islands.

The bar supposedly got it's name because it's not accessible from the land, only by sea, so folks would wade in for a drink and pay with their soggy cash.

The drink is sort of like a more sophisticated version of a Piña Colada, there's no blender involved, but that's not saying TOO much. It's still a very sweet boozey treat that is hard to miss with. Everyone loves these things.

The Soggy Dollar is a bar I hope to visit some day, and hopefully sooner rather than later. As I mention in the video I'm an aspirant sailor, Just gotta buy that boat...
