Paper Plane

This Sam Ross Milk & Honey original is crisp, light, refreshing, and amazing.

The Paper Plane was invented by Sam Ross at the legendary speakeasy Milk & Honey.

Milk & Honey is sadly no longer around, but Sam’s new bar Attaboy just won Best American Bar of the Year at Tales of the Cocktail, so that’s a big deal and awesome.

This drink is of course named for the M.I.A. song that was absolutely inescapable that summer when the drink was crafted.

It’s a variation on a Last Word but it’s a big step away from the originator as it replaces everything but the lemon juice.

Most of the Last Word variations only swap one or two ingredients, seldom do you find the Chartreuse taken out. Anyway, this is the Paper Plane:

Ingredients:

• 30 ml Lemon Juice (1 oz)

• 30 ml Aperol (1 oz)

• 30 ml Amaro nonino (1 oz)

• 30 ml Bourbon (1 oz)

Cheers!
