The following method is based on the recipe from La Bodeguita del Medio; the Cuban bar infamous for making amazing Mojito's since around 1942.
Mojito
Ingredients:
60 ml White Rum (2 oz)
30 ml Fresh Lime Juice (1 oz)
25 ml Sugar Syrup - 1:1 (0.75 oz)
60 ml Soda (2 oz)
6-8 Mint Leaves
Instructions:
- Tear and clap the mint leaves to release the oils.
- Add the mint to a hi-ball glass.
- Add the white rum, fresh lime and sugar syrup.
- Fill the hi-ball with ice.
- Add a dash of soda.
- Stir thoroughly.
