These Tiny Fractals could make Quantum Computing Work

I recently saw some headlines saying that microbiologists discovered a protein that spontaneously folds into a fractal.

I was jealous until I found out that we have microscopic fractals in physics, too. And even more amazing, these could form the basis of a new type of quantum computer -- in 1.58 dimensions. Let’s have a look.
