The Dark Side of Philanthropy

This is the potential dark side of philanthropy. You hear the word "philanthropy" being tossed around a lot by billionaires. But can it only be a thing designed to benefit the greater good?

Unfortunately, there's a lot of evidence that no, it's also helping to benefit those taking part in philanthropy. Either via saving money in taxes, generating positive public relations, as well as diverting our attention away from what they don't want us to see.

As always, I want you to focus on following the money behind anything you're hearing in the news, and figuring out if there's something you're not being told. Chances are, there's more than meets the eye.
