Destruction of Jerusalem (587 BC)

The site of the city consisted of placing the army outside the city with the purpose of ensuring that the food was finished and they surrendered or starved, or until they managed to find a way to penetrate the walls. July 18, 586 B.C. the Babylonians breached a part of the wall and all their princes entered and camped at the middle door.

In 589 BC, Nebuchadnezzar II laid siege to Jerusalem, culminating in the destruction of the city and its temple in the summer of 587 BC.
