There is no doubt that artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly evolving and growing more sophisticated every day. But what does this mean for humanity?
Will AI merge with humans and create a new species? Will humans eventually become obsolete and be replaced by AI? Or will we coexist in harmony, with AI providing us with all the skills that we need to survive? The answer to these questions is still not clear. But one thing is for sure, the future of humanity is inextricably intertwined with the future of artificial intelligence.
As Moore’s law suggests, the power of computing doubles every two years and its cost will continue going down. This can be clearly be seen in the huge progress we have made in technology in the last 10 years or more.
Technology is evolving at a rate where it is harder for us to keep track of it. So our future will likely have new technologies we haven’t even thought of now. Keeping in mind the current rate of the growth of technology, it’s inevitable that AI will be integrated into our everyday lives and even into us.
