US will take Necesarry Measures to Defend Israel
As West Asia tensions continue, Pentagon spokesperson Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said that additional United States military assets that were moved into West Asia before Iran’s attack on Israel will remain in place.

He also said that "as Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has said, both publicly and privately, we don’t want to see escalation, but we obviously will take necessary measures to protect our forces in the region and as was demonstrated over the weekend, we’ll take necessary measures to defend Israel."
This comes after Iran's unprecedented attack on Israel marked a new tension in West Asia. The attack was in response to Israel's airstrike on Iranian consulate in Syria in which two generals with its paramilitary Revolutionary Guard were killed on April 1.
