The Mummified Bat in the Bent Pyramid of Egypt

Whilst writing Part 2 of my Bent Pyramid special, I came across a curious discovery of a box of mummified remains inside the pyramid. Yes, there is a least some form of burial inside a Egyptian pyramid.

The remains were found in the sloping western corridor of the pyramid, and Egyptologist, Fakhry, describes it by saying:

“The box, which contained the mummy of a bat was put in the lower part of the passage at a distance of about 2 metres from the end of the removed blocks and was covered with plaster.”

Watch the video to learn more about this bizarre discovery in arguably the most intriguing pyramid of Egypt.
