The fate of TikTok in North America could be decided on Friday.
A federal appeals court is set to say whether or not they uphold an appeal by TikTok over a US law, which demands the social media app is sold by its Chinese parent company ByteDance.
The lawmakers fear the Chinese government could force ByteDance to hand over data about TikTok's 170 million US users.
But TikTok insists it would not provide foreign user data to the Chinese government.
