I have noticed a significant drop in the quality of videos recommended on the home page. Frankly, most of them suck.

I get recommendations for low quality slop and subjects I have no interest in. I have started using the subscriptions page instead. Your theory of ad-blocking computers not counting for views makes a lot of sense, though.
