Nasa's Artemis spacecraft has sent back images from the far side of the Moon, as it arrived at the lunar surface.
The spacecraft flew over the landing sites of Apollo 11, 12 and 14 as it made the approach.
"This is one of those days that you've been thinking about and dreaming about for a long, long time," flight director Zebulon Scoville said.
If this mission is a success, astronauts will join the next one as early as 2024.
