Locked Behind Iron Gates | One of the Most Important Sites
The first half of this video will be looking at a very ancient, important and mysterious site on Elephantine Island, which has a history that begins in Pre-Dynastic times, all the way through to the New Kingdom and beyond.

Today, tourists are not allowed in this site and storage containers have been build around it and what has been called an ancient shrine sits behind a locked iron gate. Learn more about this in the first half of my video.
In the second half, I’ll be taking a closer look at Pyramid of Elephantine Island, including two strange pits that are dug into its foundations. I also take a look at the incredible stonework on the island that hints of some form of ancient high technology, and at the end of the video we may even see evidence of the technology - evidence that large granite looks to have been melted.
