Karahan Tepe Secrets | The 11,500-Year-Old Enclosure Roof
After his fantastic work reconstructing the inner sanctum of the Great Sphinx of Egypt, I asked Kevin Eslinger of the @ESLINGERART channel, a fantastic 3D artist and ancient history enthusiast, to see if he could add a roof to the main enclosure of Karahan Tepe.

I have long believed that the large central pillars and the pillars around the perimeter of the 11,500-year-old enclosure were there primarily to support a roof, and Kevin's experimental work to reconstruct its framework has blown me away.
Kevin has a very detailed and logical approach with his work, and in this video, the first of two parts, I want to show you what he has achieved so far, because adding a roof to enclosure AD really transforms the site.
With digital 3D reconstruction, I do believe that some of the mysteries of Karahan Tepe can be solved, and finally understood.
This is truly an enigmatic and enormous archaeological complex, the sister site of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Göbekli Tepe, and still only between 5 and 10% of the site has been excavated.
