The Younger Dryas Was A Sustained Global Cataclysm

When studying the origins of ancient civilisations, whether the true age of the Great Sphinx, the origins of the Great Flood Myth, the origins of Gobekli Tepe or the possible sinking of Atlantis, research all seems to point to a major global event known as the Younger Dryas Impact.

But although most report this event as being a huge drop in temperature approximately 12,900 years ago, give or take a few hundred years, and then a dramatic rise in temperature around 1,200 years later, when you look at the temperature and snow accumulation graphs, which are based on data collected from Greenland Ice Cores, you can see that temperatures were not exactly stable before the Younger Dryas either.

Yes the Younger Dryas seems to have had an abrupt start and finish, but the temperature fluctuations are not completely unique, in that it is more like the culmination of a far larger cycle.

Watch the video to learn more about this turbulent time in the Earth's history and find out the most likely causes for the dramatic changes in Earth temperature.
