Dear YouTube! | My thoughts on getting rid of Dislike Counts
If YouTube's goal is to improve creator's mental health, I don't think removing dislikes even helps. It just means that instead of getting bombed with 6,000 dislikes, you'll get bombed with 6,000 comments saying "you suck" "ratio" "L" "use me as a dislike button". That's worse because each sign of disapproval will be unique in its approach, and harder to ignore.
