On October 13, 1972, a plane carrying a rugby team from Uruguay, along with some of their friends and family and crew, was flying from Uruguay to Chile when it crashed in the peaks of the Andes mountain ranges.
The survivors had only a bottle of rum and a few snacks to sustain them.
After nine days, they resorted to eating the dead to stay alive. Reporter Alex Cullen spoke to some of the survivors and visited the site of the crash.
