An incredible piece of art from a cave in Sulawesi, Indonesia, has been unveiled as the oldest-known narrative cave art ever discovered, dating back to at least 51,200 years ago.
The find re-writes the timeline of human artistic expression and shows us the advanced storytelling abilities of our very ancient ancestors. A brand-new scientific dating method was used, and is called 'laser ablation uranium-series imaging'.
